Guy Berger is LinkedIn’s Chief Economist. His work centers around understanding what is going on in the labor market, and using that knowledge to help the billions of people who rely on the labor market to make better lives for themselves. In his role on the Economic Graph team, Guy looks at LinkedIn’s treasure trove of data to tease out trends and patterns that often can’t be found or measured elsewhere. Whether it’s measuring skills gaps, noticing which economic characteristics make a city unique, or trying to catch turning points in the business cycle, there are many interesting stories to tell. Guy previously worked as an economist at leading global financial institutions, such as Royal Bank of Scotland and Bank of America. He received his PhD in economics from Yale University.
